Chloe Dao Spring 2015
Houston based, Chloe Dao, designed her Spring 2015 collection around the concept of creating pieces that a woman could build a complete wardrobe around. She went back to basics like the classic dress shirt and the wrap skirt, and she also paired the dress shirt with a solid A-line high waisted maxi skirt, with the concept of offering a woman multiple ways to wear one top. Another example of a versatile piece in this collection is ‘Zahara’, a strapless gown can be paired with a matching chiffon cold shoulder crop top, giving women option to wear one gown two different ways.
The use of the sophisticated and timeless color—navy—grounded the entire collection, while splashes of fuchsia added a bit of youthfulness and playfulness. Flowers are in full in bloom in this collection—and yet, the floral print makes a statement without being too bold; as Chloe either paired the pattern with solid bottoms, or kept the silhouette simple with bias cut styles. The Spring 2015 campaign was photographed by Jay Marroquin, Houston based fashion photographer.
